The family owned and operated winery “Weingut Bruch” is located in the historic village of Sankt Michael in the Wachau-region. It was founded in 1910 and is currently managed by Martin Bruch in the 4th generation. The vineyards are mostly planted with the grape variety Gruener Veltliner. Additionally Riesling, Chardonnay and Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) are cultivated. The combination of old vines, to a great extent more than 50 years old, the different types of soil (loess, gneiss and various types of sandy soils) as well as the special microclimate of the Wachau-valley are the foundations for great wines with a unique mineral touch. Furthermore the vineyards are managed with an overall sustainable approach. After all healthy soils and vineyards are the foundations for great wines.
