The ÖTW Single Vineyard Summit will take place again in 2024. Austrian Wine invites international opinion leaders to this major event.

The Austrian Wine Sommelier Olympics in Montreal present a unique opportunity to showcase knowledge of Austrian wines and compete in exciting disciplines based on the seven elements of Austrian wine. Participants can enjoy tastings, engage in competitions, and connect with fellow wine enthusiasts and experts.

The Austrian Wine Masterclass in Los Angeles offers an introduction to contemporary Austrian wines. Under the theme “The Future is Now: New Dimensions in Contemporary Austrian Wine”, sommelier Taylor Parsons shares insights into current trends. The event is designed for approximately 30 industry professionals and includes a guided tasting of in the US established wines and an open wine bar.

The Rolling Pin.Convention attracts around 10,000 professionals from the gastronomy, sommelier, and bar scenes each year. This year, Austrian Wine will also be participating with an exciting masterclass and a joint booth in collaboration with the German retailer Lobenbergs Good Wine.

The response to the 2023 sommelier competition was so great that Austrian Wine will organize an event for sommeliers and restaurateurs in Canada in autumn 2024.

There will be an Austrian Wine event in Switzerland in autumn 2024. It has not yet been decided whether this will be a masterclass, a flight tasting or an “A Close Look at” event format.

There will be several masterclasses in the United Kingdom in autumn 2024. These events will focus on major cities in the United Kingdom besides London.
However, there will be another big Austrian Tasting in London in 2025.

As part of Arlberg Weinberg, Austrian Wine will organise a themed tasting in 2024 and invite international guests to the event.

Austrian Wine brought a brand new food & wine event to Germany in September: “Über den Tellerrand”. The premiere took place in Cologne, where guests were treated to a unique wine and food pairing, as well as a cool wine bar where winemakers personally served their wines.

After the first edition of the IWSC tasting in Austria in 2023 was a complete success, the judges of this international wine competition were also be brought to Austria in 2024 to taste Austrian wines directly in the country. There was also an extensive supporting programme for the judges in this year’s host region of Niederösterreich (Lower Austria).

The Australian journalist Mike Bennie presented the diversity of Austrian wines to the local specialist audience. As part of a roadshow along the East Coast, the importer and sommelier scene was able to network better and learn new things.
