Felsner winery is one of Austria's rising wineries, acclaimed for excellent dry white wines. Manfred Felsner cultivates the very best vineyard sites - many of them with vines of 40 years or more - in Gedersdorf and Rohrendorf, near Krems. He took over the family's estate in 1990 and has worked very hard, recultivating steep slopes and old vines. He and his family use minimal intervention in the vineyard and he has been reducing yields for more expressive wines. His efforts have been rewarded by numerous national and international awards. Manfred Felsner has set out to produce single-vineyard wines, clearly expressive of their variety and their Kremstal origin. Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and St. Laurent are most important. Wines of elegance, fruit and complexity.
