Ehmoser sits in the Wagram region, known for loess soils unlike any other in Europe. This special area is fabled for Grüner Veltliner in all its forms — from the classic, peppery " Wagram Terrassen" and the deep and powerful single vineyard Hohenberg to the estate's barrel-aged showpiece of tradition and terroir, Ried Georgenberg. The estate's other varieties, including versatile Pinot Blanc, aromatic Riesling and barrel-aged Zweigelt and St. Laurent, have also won the hearts and palates of Ehmoser fans. In the cellar, Josef Ehmoser gives each wine the time it needs to develop its own individual character. His goal: distinctive, linear wines that characterize their varieties optimally and are filled in keeping with the Estate level, Village wines and Single vineyard wines classifications.
