The Franz Anton Mayer Winery has been dealing with what the unique loess soils of the Wagram region yield since meanwhile 4 generations: superb, variety-typical and unmistakable wines. We feel obligated now and also in the future to this over 120-year-old tradition.
The long history of the Franz Anton Mayer Winery was never about exotic experiments for a few experts, but was always about peak results for a large number of aficionados of classical Austrian wine culture. We lay the foundation for this by focussing on the specific, natural conditions on site as well as the neat and honest work in the vineyard. This includes the meticulous control of procedures in the vineyard from grapevine pruning to bottling, selective regulation of the harvest and working in harmony with nature.
