Hirtl stands for tradition. The Hirtl-wineries history is a long one. It dates back to 1729.
Thats also the basis for the great knowledge of winegrowing and the reason for the high quality standards of todays vinification. The ancestors passed on their knowledge ever since and combined with new methods and a progressive thinking in quality improvement, the Hirtl winery managed to be one of the leading wineries in the Weinviertel, the largest winegrowing region of Lower Austria.
2001 was the year, when Andrea and Martin Hirtl took over the winery from Martins parents and breath new life into the long tradition. More than 20 ha of vinyards are treated carefully and in close communion with nature.
