Located in idyllic Hollenburg, the south-easternmost district of Krems, the winery has been family-owned since 1868 and is still run as a family business in close contact with nature by the current winemaker Meinhard Forstreiter together with his wife Isabella and son Daniel. The winery's trademark is the first-class Grüner Veltliner, which ranges from crisp, herbaceous and fresh to creamy and Burgundian with a pronounced intensity of flavor. The portfolio also includes elegant Rieslings, the white aromatic varieties Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc, a rosé and a small but very fine selection of characterful red wines.
