Since 1650, our family has been cultivating grapevines up to 80% steep, mainly for Riesling and Grüner Veltliner.

Many of them we have awakened in recent years from the slumber, so liberated from scrub, forest and rocks and replanted. Our prime example: Riede Ehrenfels.

These "unusual" vineyards produce just such wines with their own, mineral character.

These we try to refine by late selective harvest and above all equanimity in the cellar. The most important "treatment" is often the time, instead of frantically "expanding" and bottling the wines for the fast mass market, we prefer the time for the wines that thank years later.
