For generations the Bründlmayer family has been planting and vinifying wine at the famous Hengstberg hill of Feuersbrunn in the wine growing region called Wagram. Mentioned in documents Joseph Pründlmayer I. owned vineyards around the Hengstberg in 1760. Although the spelling of the name has changed over the generations from Pründlmayer and Bründelmayer to Brindlmayer and finally to the present version, much of the wisdom and traditional spirit have survived the necessary modernisation processes.

The Hengstberg presents south facing slopes of up to 20 meter thick layers of Loess, the typical soil of the region. High in calcium and minerals, it also has good water storage potential which makes this soil ideal for grape growing.
