With the most hours of sunshine and the highest temperature peaks Andau is known as hottest spot of Austria. The family winery Scheiblhofer is one of the red wine fix stars in the Austrian wine scene. Already under the founder Johann Scheiblhofer the winery was known not only for its quality wines, but especially for its top red "Big John". His son, Erich Scheiblhofer, who is one of the young wine generation attracts a lot of attention with his distinctive stylistic wines. After training as Viticulture Master, certified Winemanager and international oenologist, Erich Scheiblhofer gained practical experience in California and Australia. The enthusiasticattitude combined with a hard perfectionism in winemaking and enology produces unique value monuments.
