"Long tradtion on the Leithaberg" is the slogan of the family Bayer, which is blessed to cultivate the oldest winery in Donnerskirchen. The vinyards are on the southermost point of the Leitagebirge which always guaranteed distinctive herbal white and red wines. Josef Bayer operates 22 ha with a surprising diversity. The different layers of the Leithaberg are responsible for that. Shell lilmestone and slate are the favourites of the family and probably every other winemaker on the Leithaberg as well.
