Creating top Austrian red wines and Burgundy wines as well as showing their great storage potential has characterized the Heribert Bayer winery from the very beginning. One of their core philosophy: Heribert and son Patrick give their wines a lot of time to mature. Thanks to this philosophy, they have up to ten different vintages available when it comes to their top series called “In Signo”. The wines of this series are named after the family's zodiac signs. Their best-known wines include the Cuvée In Signo Leonis and the Blaufränkisch In Signo Sagittarii, whose grapes come from over 70-year-old vineyards of the Neckenmarkter Hochberg. For couple of years now, they have also ranked among the best Chardonnays in the country with their white wine rarity Albatros.
