Located to the North of Lake Neusiedl at the foothills of the Leithagebirge, the area around the small village of Jois is an ideal place for wine growing and variety. The region offers excellent conditions for producing a diverse range of wine due to the high concentration of limestone, the mild climate and the exothermic reaction attributed to the beautiful lake. The most important white wine grapes are Chardonnay and Neuburger. The wineries focus lies on the most typical and oldest grape varity of the Burgenland: Blaufränkisch, which can be found as basic generic appelation wines as well as reserve and single vineyard and wines.
