The Altenberg estate is managed by the Leitner family, a family with a long tradition in winemaking. A tradition in the northern Burgenland, where there is more sunshine than in any other part of Austria.
The Leitners have continuously expanded and modernized the Altenberg wine estate. Today, they manage modern must and fermentation equipment as well as a stone vault cellar, which is ideally suited for ageing red wines.
The assortment includes dry, compact and age-worthy white and red wines as well as Dessert-wines, which are typical of the wine region of Neusiedlersee (lake). Export worldwide.
