In the beginning there was friendship. It was the friendship of Ton Goedmakers and Uli Kaltenböck, who met at a hotel bar in Lech am Arlberg in the 1990s and realized their dream of making their own wine. By free decision and with great passion, they committed themselves to southern Styria, where they started the Goedwinemakers enjoyment project with family and friends. Together we have created a lot and moved a lot, sometimes also doubted and cursed. But we have never lost the will and the joy of what we do here: making good wine. And that is why, since 2015, Bastian Kaltenböck, who now runs the winery, and cellar master Christian Söll have continued to write their own story at the 11ha organic farm. This new chapter now bears the name Weingut NeueHeimat.
