High above Maierhofen lies the wine castle of the Thaller family, surrounded by vineyards and flowering gardens, on the way to Fürstenfeld, in the “Thermen- Vulkanland Steiermark“. As a typical family business, the Thaller's live, work and think in generations. In addition to Koarl & Maria, five of the six siblings are now responsible for the farm and combine their strengths to work together on the farm. More than 30 years ago, the foundation for the pressing of excellent wines was laid here, thus laying the foundation for continuous and quality-oriented further development. With the opening of the Wine Castle in 2006, a crown was added to this and a total work of art was erected to allow wine to be experienced with all the senses and to create a place for all people.
