The family winery Schmidt is located about 30 km northwest of Vienna in the Weinviertel at the foot of the Niederrußbacher Ölberg mountain range. The microclimate of this area is ideal for the production of authentic wines due to its south- and southwest slopes with forests above. Niederrußbach is located geographically at the beginning of the Weinviertler Hügelland and belongs with its vineyards to the most important wine-growing region of Austria - the Weinviertel. Since the year 1932 we have been cultivating wine in the fourth generation. As a team we constantly strive for quality, stability and sustainability of our wines. Sustainable management and a resource-conserving approach to nature are intended to provide our family business with the best conditions for the next generation.
