'Spargelwein' – the best wines for the asparagus season! After a long and cold winter, there is nothing more welcoming in Spring, than freshly picked (or snapped) asparagus. The pleasure of eating asparagus is enhanced by choosing the right wine to pair with green and white asparagus recipies.
Yet which type of wine really suits an asparagus dish? Are there particular styles that work well, and which combinations should be avoided? It would seem that this question was not easily answered, so the Austrian Wine Marketing Board produced a leaflet with recommendations, please find the brochure under Download (available only in German).
