Austrian wine exports show a slight increase in value

ProWein 2024

From 10 to 12 March, Austrian Wine had its biggest international appearance of the year at ProWein in Düsseldorf. Wineries from all over Austria presented wines from all Austrian regions at the most important wine fair in Europe. Read more

For the celebration of ten years of SALON - Austrian Wine, the Vienna Town Hall gladly opened its doors. 200 Austrian wines were presented which, after rigorous selection, can now be considered perfect examples of indigenous diversity and quality.

3 SALON winners and 12 SALON special selections were personally honoured by Federal Minister Molterer.

The delight over the 10-year jubilee is justified. It has been possible to make the SALON an indispensable platform for Austrian vintners and their outstanding wines.

The independent profile of the SALON is especially attractive to all friends of the grape and experts. Together with young, ambitious vintners, whose products one can become acquainted with and appreciate at the tastings, renowned wine producers also demonstrate the high level of Austria's wine culture. "This side-by-side of tried and tested quality, and a new quality to discover, is the special charm and attraction of the SALON," says the AWMB business manager, Dr Berthold Salomon.

SALON Book

A significant part of the services offered is the SALON BOOK, published by the Agrarverlag, a Viennese publishing house, that serves to help orientation at the SALON tastings, on the one hand, and on the other, offers clear and significant information of producers and the wine country, Austria.
