Austrian Wine Bringing the European Wine Bloggers Conference to Vienna
Between 150 and 200 international wine bloggers – wine journalists writing mainly for the internet, including their personal wine blogs – are expected for the three-day programme. The first two conferences, which took place in Logroño in 2008 and Lisbon in 2009, proved highly successful. Organizers of the EWBC are Catavino Marketing, Gabriella and Ryan Opaz of Catavino.net, and Robert McIntosh from The Wine Conversation. Because of the strong efforts of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board (AWMB), the event’s main sponsor, this internationally recognized conference is able to be hosted in Vienna.
"With this conference, the dynamic of our wine country will be demonstrated yet again,” said the enthusiastic Willi Klinger, general manager of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board.
