ProWein 2012: Austria’s winemakers – exhibition hall 7 – invite you!

Austrian winemakers and the Austrian Wine Marketing Board (AWMB) invite you to the Austrian group exhibition at the Düsseldorf ProWein (March, 4th - 6th, 2012) in the halls 7.0 and 7.1. The AWMB's own stand C 13 is to be found in hall 7.0 and again is offering daily tastings with varying topical focuses.

At this year’s ProWein more than 330 Austrian wine estates as well as some excellent distillers abound on the 2100 square metres of total area of hall 7.0. So the ProWein is the major international appearance of the AWMB. Ten years ago, the participation was about 50 percent of today’s number of exhibitors and presentation area. As every year the shared stand is organised by the Austrian Economic Chambers in cooperation with the Austrian Wine Marketing Board.

With the participating wine estates all of Austria’s wine growing regions are represented at the ProWein. The 180 Lower Austrian estates constitute the largest group, followed by the 120 estates from the Burgenland. About 25 winemakers from Styria and 6 producers from Vienna travel to Düsseldorf to present the most recent vintages to the professional visitors.

Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. visitors may casually taste wines arranged around 13 different topical focuses at the two tasting bars of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board. These varying topical focuses, alternating repeatedly every day, present the wine country Austria from its white, red, sparkling and sweet side.
