Corona: AWMB Activities in international markets
Of course, the AWMB Team considers each market individually, as different countries are in different phases of the virus spread. Therefore, every measure in each country must be taken into account.
Worldwide, many restaurants, wine shops and also trading companies are closed for direct sales, which leads to a strong focus on online trading. Together with international traders and importers, the AWMB is currently working on individual support options and activities to further boost wine sales in the best possible way.
Although VieVinum has been postponed to 2021, the AWMB team still wants to offer sommeliers and press representatives who would have attended the event the opportunity to discover and rediscover Austrian wines by putting together wine packages according to expert’s individual needs.
The AWMB will be launching new online event formats – from virtual round tables to digital live tastings. Also well-known AWMB events will be converted/transformed to fit the experience of Austrian wine in the digital world. We'll let you in on a secret: It will be amazing! If the situation in the respective markets permits, there will be numerous presentations and events outside of Austria in the third and fourth quarters of 2020.
