This online tasting is intended to enable winemakers, even in times of limited travel, to get in touch with top retailers within a short period of time as well as to give a good insight into the market conditions in the US state of California.
The “A Close Look at California” was divided into two online tastings with 12 winemakers and 12 retailers each. This format gives participants the opportunity to get to know each other in the form of a speed dating. Each retailer received in advance a mixed wine case with one bottle per winemaker. Participants tasted the wines and could deepen their knowledge of Austrian wines during the event.
