For two days, twelve Austrian winegrowers paid calls on Cologne’s restaurateurs and sommeliers – a sort of speed-dating where growers, wine directors & proprietors could meet in a close & intimate setting and establish contacts. At the end of the second day, a convivial evening brought participants together at Esser’s Gasthaus in Cologne. This trip enabled the winegrowers to get a good look into market conditions in the German city on the Rhine. And for the sommeliers, they had the opportunity to get to know the growers & their wines in an easy and informal setting.
