Austrian Tasting UK - The Stay-at-home Edition

Austrian Wine hosted a unique tasting format for the British wine experts in cooperation with the Austrian Embassy London and the Austrian Trade Commission in London. 170 Sommeliers, Press and Trade had the opportunity to discover winegrowers’ portfolios first-hand. Every guest had the chance to select 12 portfolios from a range of 50 winegrowers. Guests received a box of samples of the chosen wineries just before the event. These were delivered in 100 ml bottles. During the course of the tasting on 12 April 2021, winemakers had been available for discussions and networking on the online platform Brella. An incredible number of 280 one-to-one meetings and more than 1300 chat messanges were the result of this exciting format invention.
