During the course of the year, the Austrian Wine Marketing Board organises and offers a wide range of activities in many different branches.
Whether it is the seasonal culinary themes, for example the asparagus season with recommendations for perfect wine combinations, or the SALON Austrian Wine competition, the nation's most rigorous wine challenge, or even the 'G’Spritzter' (White Wine Spritz), the wine for all year round. The annual Jungwein (young Austrian wine) presentation is the official start of the first wines from the new vintage, along with the AWMB brand, the “Junger Österreicher“. These wine are officially given their name during the 'Weintaufe', or blessing of the wines. Last, but not least, wine tourism is an integral part of the domestic wine industry, which is supported by the “aufzumwein” project all year round.
